Project Summary

At the Alerio property in Miramar Beach, Florida, Bel-Mac renewed three 4-story condominium buildings. Elevated walkways carry foot traffic, rain and salt air every day and connect every unit to the stairs and elevators. When the decking and the framing below deteriorate, the walkway becomes a safety concern and a path for water into the building.

Our teams removed the entire elevated walkway decking, reframed where needed, re-decked and applied a Pecora pedestrian walkway coating system over the new common walkways. The building exteriors were pressure washed, caulked and waterproofed with a PPG elastomeric coating system, which stretches with the building as it moves in heat and wind. The project also included roof repairs and new trash chutes, leaving all three Alerio buildings with rebuilt walkways and a watertight exterior.
