Project Summary

On the shore of Destin Harbor, Bel-Mac converted a historic tri-plex housing unit into a high-volume restaurant and bar for Dewey Destin. Turning a residential building into a busy restaurant changes almost everything about how it’s used, from occupancy and service needs to the daily traffic it has to handle.

The waterfront site is environmentally sensitive and highly visible from the water and the street. Our teams planned the work to protect the harbor and shoreline throughout construction. The finished building keeps the character of the original structure while meeting the demands of a busy commercial space. The Dewey Destin project shows what careful commercial renovation can do for a historic coastal property in Destin.
